I'll second that. If I find myself stuck in a simillar situation I'm gone, but I will
A:make absolutley sure I'm not going to get myself greased or cause anyone else
to mess up either, and B: that I'm not going to feed the bears either.
This leads me to a question Ive pondered before- If you pull up to a traffic light type
intersection and there is obviously no traffic visible in any direction, is it legal to treat
the turn signal as a conventional stop sign- look both ways and proceed?
I especially found the article on lane splitting to be of intrest as I have been wanting to
see some hard data on that subject. If it is legalized here in Tx I would still exercise such
a manuver with extreme caution. Thanks for the write up on all that, Kevin. Good read!
Finally someone is showing a little common sense when it comes to motorcycles being stuck at red lights.
I have been there before, pull up to a red light and wait, and wait, and wait some more. While the red light cycles through for the other lanes of traffic the poor biker sits and waits. Bikes are not often big enough to trip the sensor for many red lights so it does not know the biker is there.
