On the Shinko…I really like them so far.  They seem as sticky as any tire I have ridden, but I am a fairly conservative rider so I don't need to get my knee on the ground.  

For the money they can't be beat.  I got the front for under $100, good money so far.

On second thought…

I started the once over on the bike last night and my front tire is worse than I thought.  I dont want to risk a 1000 mile trip to a bald and bumpy front carcass.   It was too late in the day to find another.

I have been using the TPMS on my bike and I guess that is one downside to using it.  I dont visually inspect my tires enough anymore.

Oh well, the Texas Hill Country will have to wait a few weekends to meet me.

Planning a ride tomorrow from Fort Worth to Leakey, TX (LAY-Key).  There is a really cool biker only hotel there and I am going to call this morning to see if I can get a room.  Leakey, TX is right on the southern most corner of the 3 sister rider through the TX Hill Country.  I have never been there before and I am really looking forward to the ride.

I will post a story with some photos and video when I get back sometime next week.  Here is some more info on the 3 Sisters.
